Tri Delta Unveils Overhauled New Member Program

Over the past year, a team of staff and alumnae members at Tri Delta Executive Office and a group of collegiate members from around the country have been working diligently to create a completely revised New Member Education Program.  The program was unveiled at the 54th biennial Convention held in Orlando, FL from June 29th to July 3rd.  The new program utilizes the latest technology to fulfill the fraternity's purpose and prepare the New Members for success as collegiate and alumnae members of Delta Delta Delta.  The program includes education about the fraternity as well as important educational programming for personal growth and success.

Theta Upsilon Recognized By St. Jude

At Tri Delta's 54th biennial Convention, St. Jude representatives recognized chapters for their outstanding fundraising during the Philanthropy Lunch.  Theta Upsilon was recognized as a Top 5 Fundraising Chapter.  This weekend, Theta Upsilon member Jessica Lofland will be attending the annual St. Jude Leadership Conference to learn more about St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and how to help the chapter continue to grow its fundraising for the hospital.

Tri Delta's GPA Earns Them The Top Spot

For the Spring 2010 semester, the members of the Theta Upsilon chapter of Delta Delta Delta earned an average grade point average of a 3.509.  This was the highest of the six sororities on the University of Tulsa campus, earning Tri Delta the top rank for house GPA.

Theta Upsilon receives multiple awards

The Theta Upsilon chapter received multiple awards recently at the Panhellenic Banquet and the Student Organizations Banquet. At the Panhellenic Banquet, Tri Delta received the Sisterhood Award and the Philanthropy and Social Service Award. Senior Kelsey Leek was also recognized as Greek Woman of the Year and Outstanding President Award for the 2009 calendar year. Theta Upsilon also received a Point of Excellence in Social Activities within Greek Life at the Student Organizations Banquet.

Three Theta Upsilon seniors have recently received awards.

Kelsey Leek received "Outstanding Senior in MIS" at the Collins College of Business Banquet, Corie Robertson received "Outstanding Biochemistry Student" at the Engineering and Natural Sciences Banquet, and Stefanie Vollet received "Outstanding Senior in Speech Language Pathology" at the Arts and Sciences Convocation.

Tri Delta wins Philanthropy Weeks

The Theta Upsilon Chapter of Delta Delta Delta recently won Sigma Chi Derby Days benefiting the Huntsman Cancer Institute and Kappa Sigma Olympics benefiting the Little Light House.

Tri Delta received top marks in the banner, poster, Paint-a-Sig, and Sig Dance during Derby Days. For Kappa Sigma Olympics, Tri Delta came out on top in the field events and the dance competition to win the entire week!

Theta Upsilon raises $1804 for St. Jude

The ladies of the Theta Upsilon chapter of Tri Delta held their annual Pancake Breakfast on December 7, 2009.  The event was $5 all you can eat buttermilk, blueberry, and chocolate chip pancakes.  Raffle tickets were also sold bringing the total raised to $1804.  All proceeds were sent directly to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.

Tri Delta Named Greek Week Champions

The Theta Upsilon Chapter of Delta Delta Delta was named the winner of 2009-10 Greek Week last Friday, October 16.  The week kicked off with the Greek Week Blood Drive and Kristin's Story on Monday.  On Wednesday, there was a Greek Tailgate for the Boise State game.  Thursday brought a co-sponsored event with Up 'Til Dawn writing letters, and the week commenced with the annual Greek Field Day.  Tri Delta was announced as the winner after the field day games ended.  Congratulations ladies!

Sophomore Hillary Hellmann named Top 10 Freshmen

Hillary Hellmann was named a Top 10 Freshmen for 2009-10.  She was selected after an interview with faculty, staff, and alumni.  She will be recognized during 2009 Homecoming festivities later this month.
